Vice President of Revenue (Remote)

Preferable Location: New York   |   Full Time

Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious VP of Revenue to join our remote team. The  VP of Revenue will work closely with senior management to oversee all revenue-generating activities and achieve business objectives and revenue goals. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a start-up tech environment.

About the Role:

This is our first senior executive revenue hire and will report directly to the CEO. This executive will set the stage for our exponential growth by building a scalable revenue strategy, operation, and organization. To that end, he/she will own our overall go-to-market strategy, sales, customers success, and revenue operations functions. 


The VP of Revenue will, over time, hire proven enterprise sales leaders and sales enablement professionals in our target industry verticals and geographies, and will develop their team into a sales execution engine. He/she will implement a sales forecasting system set up to be responsive to CEO/Board requirements for cash forecasting, resource planning, etc. Ultimately, the VP of Revenue will be the single point of accountability for Visit.org’s revenue growth.


Responsibilities: 

  • Lead high-performing Sales and Account Management teams creating clear expectations, outcomes, and accurately forecasting performance.

  • Effectively develop strategy and management of pipelines to ensure quarterly and annual revenue attainment 

  • Design strategies for renewals and expansion based on proven success with existing clients

  • Develop quarterly KPIs and initiatives to meet and exceed revenue targets and focus on customer experience  

  • Ensure hiring plan, workload, and relationship alignment between Sales & Account Managers

  • Establish, improve and measure a repeatable forecasting and quote-to-contract process that connects to sales performance analytics

  • Provide decision support on complex deals 

  • Extensively track, measure, and demonstrate success through Salesforce.

  • Collaborate with the product team to accelerate and align sales initiatives with marketing and product releases to enhance sales opportunities

  • Cultivate a team that’s full of passion and enthused to succeed



Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS enterprise sales leadership 

  • 5+ years building and managing teams

  • Experience with a data-driven sales process including reporting deep pipeline management experience

  • Track record of providing the team with scalable best practices for consultative selling while coaching and developing the team

  • Demonstrated use of Salesforce for planning and reporting skills and integrating marketing tools

  • Deep understanding of the role of marketing in supporting sales lead generation and value drivers in recurring revenue business models

  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
