Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Business Development Manager to join our remote team. The position will identify, engage, and convert prospects for new conversations with the sales organization. The Business Development Manager will lead and execute strategies to identify, secure, and grow high-impact partnerships while collaborating cross-functionally to drive revenue, enhance brand visibility, and support the organization’s long-term growth goals. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a start-up tech environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the CEO’s right hand, supporting both strategic initiatives and daily operations with a strong focus on business growth

  • Lead and execute business development efforts, including sourcing, pitching, and closing corporate partnership opportunities

  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders at Fortune companies

  • Come up with new creative initiatives to connect with Fortune companies 

  • Identify strategic partners and create go-to-market 

  • Research new market opportunities, support due diligence, and assist in negotiations with potential partners

  • Coordinate with internal teams and corporate clients to launch, manage, and optimize high-impact partnerships, bringing creative ideas to life through events, communications, and online and in-person activations.

  • Track, analyze, and report on business development KPIs and partnership performance to inform strategic decisions.

  • Draft high-level communications, proposals, and follow-ups tailored to corporate partners and investors

  • Plan and execute events, corporate activations, and speaking engagements in collaboration with partners and identify and create public speaking opportunities to elevate brand and leadership visibility

  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with a strong sense of ownership and adaptability

  • Demonstrate passion for the company’s mission and the impact of technology in driving social change


Qualifications:

  • You have 5+ years of experience, preferably in Sales or Marketing, Business Development, Partnership Development or any external stakeholder-facing role  

  • Willingness and passion for trying new things, acting entrepreneurial, and iterating on all current and future approaches

  • Tech-savvy, proficient with CRM tools, and social media communications expert in current cultural trends with attention to brand voice

  • Very curious and knowledgeable in world affairs, global economy, business trends,  and technological innovation

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills

  • Analytical skills to assess KPIs and partnership performance

  • Must be able to travel approximately 40% of the time 

  • Based in NYC (preferred)

  • Background in startups, tech, or mission-driven companies

Salary ranges from $85,000  to  $100,000  DOE; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A range of benefits may include equity, healthcare benefits, and paid time off may be provided as part of the compensation package.
